On July 2nd, 2015, the Ministry of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector hosted the Hack4Europe final.
More than 500 key European players, including large corporates, start-ups and colleges, as well as developers, designers and creators, watched the lucky finalists present their applications, and, for the first time, were able to vote for their favourite projects!
The opening speech from Gilles Babinet, Digital Champion at the European Commission, set the tone for a day of open innovation. The event was interspersed with three round-table discussions with prominent spokesmen and women from companies that have helped to paint the European innovation landscape.
The seven finalist teams were awarded their prizes by the partner companies:
Ayni, All4One, Welcom (double prizewinner!), Smarteam (another double prizewinner!), Unicorns of Dev and Weball.
Three teams were rewarded by all of the participants through a vote that took place during the ceremony: Welcom, ShopMaster and Ozons.
First prize went to the Welcom team.
